On February 24, the university ushered in the first day of the spring semester of 2025. President Wang Yongqin and Vice President Li Juan visited teaching facilities and conducted a detailed inspection of the first class of the new semester, accompanied by staff of the Academic Affairs Office, Education and Teaching Quality Assessment and Teacher Teaching Development Center.

The university leaders went deep into Shangxue, Shangzhi, Shangde Buildings and other teaching places, carefully checked the teaching of teachers, student attendance, classroom discipline, operation of teaching equipment, logistics support, etc., and put forward practical improvement measures to further optimize teaching conditions and beautify the classroom environment. Judging from the inspection situation, the teachers can arrive in advance and be full of energy; the attendance rate of students is high, and the classroom atmosphere is warm; the teaching equipment runs smoothly, the teaching area environment is clean, and the teaching is orderly. While the school leaders inspected, the Academic Affairs Office and the teaching management personnel of the secondary colleges formed inspection teams to carry out a full-coverage inspection of the teaching environment, classroom order, teacher-student status and operation of teaching facilities in the north and south campuses, so as to ensure timely detection and problem solving.

During the inspection, Wang Yongqin highly praised the preparations made by various functional departments and secondary colleges for the start of the new semester. She pointed out that the new semester should closely focus on the annual work theme of "continuously improving quality", further improve school conditions, optimize classroom environment, and improve intelligent and information service teaching. The effectiveness is to provide a more efficient and convenient working and learning environment for teachers and students, so that the new scenes of " Digital Intelligence SJZU " and " Beautiful SJZU" can continue to empower education and teaching reform, and inject new momentum into the high-quality development of the university.

The inspection of the first lesson at the beginning of this semester marks the official start of teaching in the new semester.
