To ensure a secure campus environment for the new semester and fully implement the spirit of the provincial school safety conference, President Wang Yongqin and Vice President Feng Baoqiang led a special safety inspection on the afternoon of February 26. The inspection team included heads of the Student Affairs Office, Security Office, Logistics Management Office, Library, Experimental Training Center, as well as party and administrative leaders from various secondary colleges.
The inspection team thoroughly examined key areas of the campus, including the Peace Campus Command Center, Shangwen Auditorium, Gymnasium, North Campus Library, laboratories, student dormitories, and canteens. They conducted a comprehensive and detailed review of critical safety aspects such as fire safety, food safety, electrical safety, building safety, laboratory safety, and library safety. During the inspection, potential safety hazards were identified one by one, and specific deadlines were set for rectifying the issues discovered, ensuring a safe and orderly start to the spring semester.
President Wang Yongqin emphasized three key points: first, it is essential to elevate political awareness, prioritize the safety of teachers and students, and safeguard the school's development. Campus safety should be treated as an inviolable red line, with continuous efforts to strengthen safety management, address vulnerabilities, and resolutely prevent major campus safety incidents. Second, the issues identified during this inspection must be carefully reviewed, with responsibilities clearly defined and measures meticulously implemented to ensure thorough and timely rectification. Third, all relevant departments and secondary colleges must move beyond narrow, compartmentalized thinking, enhance coordination, and foster information sharing, resource integration, and complementary advantages to build a strong collaborative force. This will drive continuous improvement in campus safety, laying a solid foundation for the high-quality development of the school.
