Students from the School of Arts and Design Achieve Outstanding Results in the China Creative Challenges Contest

Recently, the results of the 19th China Creative Challenges Contest were announced. Zhao Yihan, a 2023 Animation major student from the School of Arts and Design, won the National Third Prize in the Generative Artificial Intelligence category for her work Dunhuang Mirage. Her outstanding creativity, excellent technical skills, and solid professional knowledge helped her stand out in the intense competition.
The China Creative Challenges Contest is listed in the "National General Higher Education Discipline Competition Analysis Report" published by the Ministry of Education's China Higher Education Society. It is also the first authoritative competition in China focusing on digital art, digital design, digital creativity, digital media, and innovation in digital technology. This competition, which covers a wide range of disciplines and has a large number of participating institutions, aims to promote the deep integration of culture and technology through artificial intelligence, enhancing cultural and technological innovation capabilities.
Under the guidance of professional instructors Niu Hongxu and Zhao Guangcan, Zhao Yihan drew inspiration from Dunhuang culture for her creation. She cleverly integrated modern technological elements and used artificial intelligence to present a brand-new visual experience. This innovative attempt not only showcases the unique charm of Dunhuang culture but also highlights the perfect fusion of technology and culture.
The School of Arts and Design has always emphasized cultivating students' innovative awareness and practical abilities. By organizing participation in various competitions and activities, the school provides students with platforms to showcase themselves and enhance their skills. This award not only adds honor to the individual student but also establishes a positive image for our university among national higher education institutions.
